Visitors & Canton

We've got some visotors from Sweden last night. So nice to see them again, and they brought Swedish chocolat and coffee with them :)Daniela, Mum and I went to Canton today, to the big market. It was lovely. We took a lot of pictures and you can find more pictures at our Swedish blog :) but here are some things that we actually bought...
We also got a report from Sweden and Amber BW, one of the horses that will be in Sweden for 2009. She is having vacation in December which is good. She will be in some shows during Spring next year so I think she'll need this rest.

The mares has left the quaranteen in Ohio now. They are expected to be home during night or tomorrow early. We are so much looking forward to have them home again!

Preparations

After what we have heard the mares will be coming home either tomorrow night or early Sunday morning. And we are going to Canton tomorrow so we had to prepare for the horses already today:
It was many bales of shavings that was needed... 25 bales to be exact. That meant 25 plastic bags...But now everything is set for the mares to come home ...

The dogs have had a nice day... they hate the rain so they have been...

That will be all for today!

Take care!

Thanksgiving

Today has been the day that we never got dressed. Yes, it is right. We planned to clean Hanniballs stall in the morning, and after that we've just been watching TV and relaxed. That was also what we planned to do :)- Mum cooked a turkey for us that was delicious.

Mum also got some ideas of a new business. I am still dreaming of my tack store and I hope that my mums idea will come true because it was a good idea. I won't say anymore because otherwise it won't be a surprise when it will take place...

No puppies yet :(

Cleaning the barn

Hi again!

No puppies yet :( Molly is getting bigger and bigger so it can't be that long now. The rest of the dogs are doing fine. We got a report from Sweden and Evelyn, who is mated with Daim that she is also getting bigger and bigger. It is still 2 weeks until delivery there. So more information to come :)

Yesterday we started a new project... cleaning the barn...

before and after.... say no more...

Half the job was done yesterday and we will continue with the rest during the afternoon.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Fist time in our family that we celebrate Thanksgiving since it's not an holiday in Sweden. We have something callled Advent on sunday instead but that is not such a big thing as Thanksgiving. We will celebrate them both...

Hanniballs cold that he got is gone now. That is nice. He is doing perfectly fine now and I think he is looking forward to Sunday when the mares are coming home! At least I am looking forward to that!

Hanniball

Hi again!

First week at the farm has gone fast.

Hanniball got a cold. We had to go to the Veterinarian to day just to get him checked up. There are so many different decises here that we don't have in Sweden. But it seems just to be a cold due to the climate that he is not used to. We got some medications for him, so hopefully he'll be just fine in a couple of days.

Got an email from the quaranteen that the mares are doing just fine. Dallas is nice, and so are the others of course.

Molly is getting closer to give birth. It's just a matter of days now. I think she is looking forward to getting them out now... We are almost prepared for them to come, just som small stuff that we need to organize before but that'll be fine I think...

That's all for now!

Take care!

What is this?

This is a blog about my life and my animals. My name is Cilla and I will move to Texas in 5 days. That's why I started this blog. I already have two other blogs, one that I show my pictures and onw that I write in Swedish. I have grown up in Sweden but I am born in Miami, FL in 1979. I have dual citizenships and that makes this move possible. I will move to Texas with my mother, 6 horses and 14 dogs. I start this blog today because there will be a couple of days where I won't write because of the trip. This will also be a blog where You can follow our lives from day #1 in USA.

I hope that you will find my blog intresting. My English gramma might not be the best but I hope that you'll understand me anyway. I also hope that you enjoy the pictures that I will upload here later on.

Might write in the coming days, otherwise I'll be back when we've landed in Texas!
