Four weeks early

Next foal was expected to June 12:th but today when we came home Charisma had already delivered!!!

This is Covergirl DW. A little filly. This is Charismas fourth foal but first filly and we are so happy right now!!! Also a little bit chocked since it was so early. This is also the first time out of 19 foals that it comes before due! But luckely everything has gone well and both the mare and the foal seems to be doing great!

Next foalingdate should be June 22:nd...

FOAL - Acriz DW

Two blogs on the same day... that is unusual for this blog. But there is a good reason for it today. At 3 pm Aisha gave birth to her fifth filly!!!

It was 6 days over due but she looks healthy and fine. It was really warm outside today, 88 degrees so she was a little bit slow to come up

But after a while and some help she was up on her long legs and then everything went just perfect.

She ate as she should and seemed to be in good shape :)

So the whole family was gathered together. Mother Aisha (grey), Filly Acriz DW (newborn) and Always Dallas DW (darkbrown)

Congratulations to Stina Stiberg who won Aishas Challengeprize 2009. She guessed that it was going to be born today and it was going to be a filly. Noone guessed right on the color, grey - born chestnut... but that was a tough one!

Now three out of five foals has come, all of them girls :) Girlpower to the farm!

Dalmatian pictures

I was lucky enough to have the camera close the other day when the puppies were out...

No foal yet... she is now over due for a week... but we are waiting...

The road collapsed

It is kind of old news since this happened last Sunday. It was a huge thunderstorm during the night between Saturday and Sunday and at 7 am Sunday morning something was shaking the whole house. It was like an earthquake... After almost 1½ hours the firedepartment came but it was only one car and one truck and that is strange... now we know why...

From what we heard a car drove down in this big whole on Sunday morning but no one got injured!!! This is on the backside of our farm so we are not affected by it. But now we know why it has been so much less traffic outside our house during the past week :) And that we enjoy :)

Facelift

As you may see the blog got a little facelift today! I thought this background was very suitable since we have horses and dalmatians (the spots...)

No foal yet... but we are waiting... :)

Co-Co's heat is over for this time *jippieee*. She is back with the other dogs again and that is wonderful. I think she likes it as well!

The registrationpapers for the Money-litter is on it's way from AKC now. Everything is sent in and they confirmed that they got all the papers so as soon as we get them we will send them out to the new owners!

There is still one puppy left from the Opera-Litter. It is a red female cocker. If you are interested please contact pia at saintcox@gmail.com.

Tornadostorm

We are allright after the tornadostorm that came last night. We had guests in our house that we had to put to safety together with all the dogs but everything went just fine! No injurys on any animals or buildings :) But our pond got a lot bigger...

Visitors

I don't think so many people have lived on this farm ever! 13 people from Sweden came yesterday and they will stay until Sunday! They are from Lonestar Conference Center in Höör, Sweden (http://www.lonestar.se/) and they are traveling around in Texas for a couple of weeks.

They are out during the days... today they are trying some barrelracing! They will also be attending the party that we'll have here tomorrow!

Without Computer

I have been without a computer for a while so I haven't been able to update the blog as I wanted... But here we are again!

The Cockerpuppies are doing great. There is one red female for sale still. If you are interested please contact Pia at saintcox@gmail.com. She can send you pictures up to date :) Two of the sables will stay and one red female already left. The last one, the Sable boy will leave in the weekend.

Japps ear recovered perfect. He had to be hospitalized for almost another week since he was to happy here at home but that was really good for him. His ear healed perfect and you can't tell that there was an accident by looking at it today! Once again thanks to Van Zandt Animal Care Clinic for all there effort and good work!

All horses and dogs are right now doing great. We got a new foal in Sweden. A Royal BW gave birth to a bay filly on April 27:th. She will be named Amaria DW to honour Maria Berg who owns Royal. Thank you Maria for letting us have a foal with Royal and thanks for all the work you put down! Hopefully Amaria DW will move over to the US in the fall together with her sister Amber BW.

Sugarsmile DW is also doing great. She is out on the pastures and playing and waiting for a friend. Next due is May 6:th...

Sugarsmile DW & Amaria DW

The Embroideryshop will open on Monday 4:th. The openinghours will be from 9 am - 4 pm. You are more than welcome to visit us!

We are also changing the website... the look will be the same but you will find it at www.daimilus.com. When we now have the computer where they should be we have more possibility to update the homepage more frequently.

Japps recovering

Japp is now home. He has been home for three days and already unwrapped his bandaid once so we had to go back to the hospital once and fix it. We will go back to the hospital tomorrow and on Saturday to put new bandage on him. But other than that he is doing great.

We also got the mobilehome for me :) Hopefully I will be able to move in to it in the end of next week! The water and electricity is almost hooked up so it isn't that much left to do :)

We had a horrible weather today with really dark clouds...

The horses were really wet when I took them in this afternoon. But the rain has passed now and when I am writing this the sun actually gets through...

I will try to take some pictures of the cocker spaniel puppies! They are doing great. They are really big! The filly, Sugarsmile DW is also doing really good! It has been so much work lately so I haven't got the time to take so many pictures as I wanted too!

Take care!

Japp still at hospital

Japp is still at the Van Zandt Animal Clinic and he will stay there until Monday. He needs a lot of rest and his bandage on his head needs to be there until Monday. That makes it easier for both us and Japp. I went over and visited him and he is doing pretty good. When I entered the clinic I was wearing a pair of bunny ears sympathizing to my dog. They had a good laugh at me :) Japp thought I just was embarising both him and me... :) I hope that I can go and visit him tomorrow again...

Japp injured

To have many dogs together as we do right now is a challenge. How or why it happened is questions we probably never get the answer on but in some way any of the dogs got hold of Japps ear and sliced it in three. Luckely both me and mum were close when it happened so Japp came to the hospital very fast. It didn't take long until he was sleeping and on the emergencytable at Van Zandt Animal Clinic.

I would like to say thank you to Dr. Wingo and all his staff at the clinic today for everything! You were fantastic!!!! I screamed in someones ear (turned out to be Vicky's) when it happened and actually gave them ten minutes notice that I was coming and prepare surgery and when I got there after ten minutes everything was prepared for us! Thank you for taking so good care of Japp!!!!

We decided that Japp will stay until tomorrow due to that we have so many animals and the possibility for Japp to have some stronger medication at the hospital.
The surgery went well and Japp will come home tomorrow with a lot of stitches in his ear. I promise to show you some pictures tomorrow!!!

Rain, rain and rain

We now have our third day of raining... but we shouldn't complain - we really need the rain! For me who is here for my first year it is pretty fun to se what the rain does to nature here. It becomes green so much faster than I am used to. Just after this three days of raining you could see a difference! But for us who have animals life is not easier when it rains.

Who wants to be outdoors when it looks like this????

The puppies came out for about half an hour earlier today...

Dumle, the new boy from Sweden, is exploring the Texas nature...

Bisquit who is born here already knows that it is wet so he turns around...

The puppies was indoors playing for a couple of hours today...

Bounty and Crispy is playing with a toy.

Dumle is watching carefully so no one takes his toy...

Daimilus Bounty Girl

Finally I want to show you what I see every morning when I wake up... Co-Co is always on top of my stomach... happy it's not Japp because he is so heavy!!!

March 12, 2009

Balloon and Dumle

Time is running so fast!!! I can't belive that the Opera Litter already is one week old!!!

Daimilus Bubble Balloon left for his new home in Folsom, LA yesterday. I got an email from the new owner and he seems to be alright and they are very happy to their new friend

After I left Balloon at the American Airlines I headed over tu Lufthansa Cargo and waited for our new dog, Dumle. He is from the litter that Daim is father to in Sweden. He was traveling for a long time, about 13 hours just the last flight... but he was doing great! The introduction to the other dogs went really well last night and he has been playing around with the other puppies almost the whole day today :)

March 10, 2009

The Embroidery Studio

The new house for the Embroidery studio came today!

We have to wire some electricity to it and put in the mashines in there as well, but then it will all be going on!

Daimilus Bubble Balloon will leave for his new family tomorrow. He will move to Folsom Louisiana. In the same time a new dog, Dumle will come from Sweden! Leave one and pick one up at the same time :)

The new born puppies are doing just great. It is not happening that much in the litterbox there just at the moment!

No foals yet... she is now 6 days over due and it doesn't look like anything will happen before the weekend... we'll see. I will keep you updated!

Take care

Saint Cox Opera litter

The first puppy came 2:15 am. It was a sable colored girl. It became a litter of totaly five puppies, three girls and two boys. The boys are both sable and two of the girls are red and one is sable. They will get name after different operas or parts in operas...

Zascha seems to be a wonderful mother so far!!!! More information about them is coming soon...

March 03, 2009

Puppies to come

Yesterday we found out that Zascha is pregnant with Robbin and will be due any day...

We saw five maybe six puppies on the x-ray and we are hoping of a lot of different color since Zascha is sable and Robbin is red and we now that he delivers both liver and chocolat.

No foals yet but that should also come any day!

Puppies are outdoors

The puppies are now 8 weeks! This weeks has been going so fast! Bubble Balloon is now sold as well and will probably leave in the end of next week. They will have their vet exam next Thursday.
All the puppies are outdoors most of the days. If its raining they are all around the house. They now know how to get out of the litterbox so we run after them all day long! Here are some pictures from today when they were outdoors...

February 24, 2009

Daimilus Bisquit Boy

All puppies did their BAER-test today and all have bilateral hearing, which means that they hear on both ears.
Here is a small video at Daimilus Bisquit Boy when he explored the office earlier today

Agility

I was out in the garden to try to practise some agility with Daim but he wasn't that much in the mood for it today... I think it was because he thinks the camera is booooooooring... but I got three good pictures of him... :)
The puppies are doing great. We have a small "problem" with them... they escapes from the litterbox!!! So I am happy when it is good weather outdoors so they can be out instead of indoors. They will do their BAER-test on Tuesday and I am not that worried because I know that they are all hearing on at least one ear!
We are now also members of Terrell Chamber Of Commerce! We had our Ribboncutting last Wednesday that went well!
